I just recently discovered the Moses Theme by Mint Themes (who runs the website churchthemer.com) Most of the themes I feature on this website are simply premium wordpress themes that could work for a church website based on wordpress. The Moses Theme is actually built to be a church website which is always helpful!

The InkDrop Theme by Obox Themes is a really sweet wordpress theme. I just recently came across the Obox Themes website and I have to say that I’m impressed. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to see the backend of their themes, but from everything I hear… it’s great. The InkDrop Theme caught my attention as a great premium theme for church websites because of it’s simplistic design & the focus on photography/graphics. The Thesis Theme by DIY Themes is a phenomenal wordpress theme. (It’s one of the best in my book) We actually use Thesis to run this Church WordPress Themes blog.
I personally love the Thesis Theme because of its huge amount of built-in customization. The theme itself is not very stylish… that’s left up to you. What it does is create a framework for you to build your site on. Personally, I think it’s a good idea to build your site using the Thesis Theme and consider hiring a professional designer to build you a custom theme on top of the framework Thesis provides.
