I just recently discovered the Moses Theme by Mint Themes (who runs the website churchthemer.com) Most of the themes I feature on this website are simply premium wordpress themes that could work for a church website based on wordpress. The Moses Theme is actually built to be a church website which is always helpful!

The InkDrop Theme by Obox Themes is a really sweet wordpress theme. I just recently came across the Obox Themes website and I have to say that I’m impressed. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to see the backend of their themes, but from everything I hear… it’s great. The InkDrop Theme caught my attention as a great premium theme for church websites because of it’s simplistic design & the focus on photography/graphics. This will make for easy customization & features. Here’s what Obox has to say about their theme….

The Family Tree Theme by Studiopress would make a great wordpress theme for a women’s ministry or even a children’s ministry website. The design of this theme makes for a real fun experience. I love the cartoon/illustrations for graphics. I could see a children’s ministry or even pre-teen ministry take this theme and rock it out. This is one wordpress theme that looks like it was custom built. There are so many themes that look like just another wordpress theme… this is not one of them. I personally love the large scroll feature on the top of the page. This would be great for upcoming events or featured ministries. The Family Tree Theme is another Child Theme to the Genesis Framework.

The Thesis Theme by DIY Themes is a phenomenal wordpress theme. (It’s one of the best in my book) We actually use Thesis to run this Church WordPress Themes blog.
I personally love the Thesis Theme because of its huge amount of built-in customization. The theme itself is not very stylish… that’s left up to you. What it does is create a framework for you to build your site on. Personally, I think it’s a good idea to build your site using the Thesis Theme and consider hiring a professional designer to build you a custom theme on top of the framework Thesis provides.
The Pixel Happy Theme by Studiopress would be another great wordpress theme for a women’s ministry or children’s ministry at a church. This church wordpress theme is perfect for image heavy websites.
